Our rule

How we choose hotels

We only list 4-5 star hotels with a verified way to fit five. A hotel must meet all three tests:

  1. 4 or 5 stars, with a cited source for the rating.
  2. Notably family friendly: a kids' club, teen programme, family pool or family-oriented services, with a source.
  3. A verified setup for five people: a room, suite or villa that sleeps five; a family room made of two connected rooms booked as one; or linking/connecting rooms the hotel states it offers, bookable together. Two separate rooms that the hotel does not link or sell together do not count.

Every hotel page links the official site and the family room or suite page, shows a "Family rate & linking rooms" note with the hotel's own family offer or kids policy and the date we checked, and never invents prices. Hotels that fail any test are removed.
